Audited Supplier Kingmets stainless steel honeycomb panel is made with two stainless steel face sheets on front side & back side and bonded to an aluminium honeycomb core. This product structure keeps the original properties of what stainless steel panel have, but bringing down the unit weight & adding up a lot of panel strength.
Stainless steel panel has been using for architectural purpose for façade, interior walls, ceilings, floors etc because of it's modern metallic decorative effect and good anti-corrosion. However for such architectural decoration purpose, a thickness of stainless steel panel should be 3mm or 4mm, it's very heavy and meanwhile panel surface is always not flat enough. To solve this problem, Kingmets use the lightweight aluminium honeycomb as substrate material to support the thin stainless steel skin sheets, so as to achieve a best strength & weight ratio, that's why we make stainless steel with honeycomb core.

A 10mm thick honeycomb panel with skin 0.8mm stainless steel skin sheets is only 13.7Kgs/m2, but a 4mm thick solid stainless steel panel is 31.7kgs/m2. Honeycomb core panel can reduce the weight by more than 50%. |
Solid stainless steel panel generally hasoil canning surface especially when panel size is big. But honeycomb core panel is a high strength stable hexagonal structure, it provides much supporting strength to the face sheets and make panel surface flat. |
